I have been divorced for a few years and am building a new life of fun, travel, culture, food, reading, theatre , music and new experiences. I am a young 63 year old woman, my friends say I am easy going, warm, fun, kind and thoughtful. I have 2 grown up boys who are the light of my life. After working part time for a while, I am back full time now, but like to make the most of my free time and am financially and socially independent. I love walking, music, good food and wine, reading, my garden, travelling and adventure. I am a positive and optimistic person who has had a few knocks but now building a happy new life. I am caring and loyal and make time for those who are important to me.

I am keen to make new friends who are thoughtful, loyal, truthful and tolerant in their outlook. People with a sense of fun and adventure, who are kind and caring. I am not worried about your education, your profession or job, so long as you are financially independent, not too tied down with commitments, and know your own mind. It would be nice if we shared interests, but I am more than happy to try new things, so long as you are too!
For me, what makes a relationship work is honesty, mutual respect, and a willingness to go out of your comfort zone, keep an open mind and take a risk. Humour and the ability to laugh at yourself help, but I don't appreciate sarcasm. For me, what is in your heart and soul is more important than looks, material things or being clever. The freedom to go out and have fun and the freedom to travel, both here and abroad, is important to me.
I am looking for friendship and companionship in the first instance, I am not interested in marriage (done that, got the T shirt) or rushing into a relationship, but this might be an option if I met the right person.
