I’m a happy, kind, genuine and caring lady looking to meet someone who values and respects me for who I am.
I’m a retired financial controller after a long career, and keep myself very busy doing the things I enjoy most. Whatever happened to that free time you’re supposed to have when you retire!
I’m an active amateur photographer, and spend time out in nature creating artistic photography. If this is something you’re interested in too, then why not join me!
But you don’t need to be a photographer to join me of course, after all walking out in nature doesn't require a camera! Simply an appreciation of nature's beauty, ie the sounds, the colours, the textures, the smells, the changing seasons etc etc.
I also spend quality time with my grandson who is a toddler and am soon to be blessed with a new granddaughter.
I belong to a fun rock choir, volunteer when I can, and I keep fit by doing yoga, classes at my local gym, and walking.
I enjoy travel, be it in our wonderful UK and overseas, soaking up the cultural beauty of the places I visit. But you won't find me lying on a beach for hours. I want to see architecture, wildlife, landscapes, and where possible talk to the locals and try and understand their lives, whether it be in India or Cyprus and the Greek islands. As my parents were Greek Cypriot, each visit brings me that little bit closer to my roots.
I love to cook, and especially for my friends and family, usually incorporating a big dose of the Mediterranean! And of course served with copious amounts good wine and a big splash of love. Good conversation is always on the agenda, whether it be in my garden on a summer’s day or in my welcoming kitchen diner.
I regularly visit art and photography exhibitions, cinema, theatre etc etc, and am looking to meet someone who wishes to spend quality time with me, and to share some of my interests.
