Just a simple honest guy with a good sense of humour and a zest for life.
I used to be a professional Chef in high class restaurants and country house hotels and though It was a few years I still enjoy cooking and love to experiment with different ingredients and foods from different nationalities.
These days I own and run a business in a border town in in South Wales which deal with the promotion of businesses, charities, clubs and leisure organization's.
Hopefully I might retire in just a few more years.
I like to get out and about as much as I can but I am also happy for a night in with a good film.
I used to drive down through France and Spain, exploring the sights, food, wine and culture along the way and it would be really good to do that again and maybe explore other places as well.
I like to open and enjoy a good bottle of wine when it takes my fancy, but its especially enjoyable with good company and I have a collection that I keep topped up from time to time.
I lost my wife, who I was with for 29 years, to Cancer back in 2024. We were very happily married for 28 of those years and we were a really good match, soul mates if you like and I'm on here to see if I can find that again.
It would be really lovely if that could happen as I still feel young at heart and although I am on my own, I just need to share it with someone new in my life again.
Honesty is really important to me because without honesty everything doesn't actually exist.
I like to talk and like nothing more than a good discussion, but I also respect that we all need our own space and time.

My ideal match would be someone who also shares a zest for life. Enjoys good food and likes a glass of good wine and a occasional trip to a pub.
Good sense of humour is a must, its great to have a good laugh occasionally.

Someone who enjoys nature but is equally at home exploring the sites, smells and cultures of a village, town or city.
Although I have my feet firmly on the ground, I'm also a bit of a romantic so if you are as well that would be great, but its not a deal breaker.
