About her
Youthful retired lady. All my family are very youthful in appearance - genetics I guess, either that or it is to do with the portraits in the attic. Unlike a lot of people my age I still maintain a young outlook whilst retaining old fashioned values. Love the company of people my age who refuse to bend to the march of time. We are so fortunate to have all the knowledge of what life was like back 'in the day' - and how much better it was back then. As they say the Past is another Country.
I am a very private lady who enjoys her own company very much. I have a very comfortable lifestyle and live in a beautiful home overlooking the sea and in the main am very content with life. However having been on my own for some time now (by choice) sometimes I feel it would be nice to meet someone with whom I am compatible to just share some of the joys in life which can be difficult for a person on their own e.g travel which for variouis reasons I find a bit daunting these days. Love good conversation of the interesting kind. My dog is my best friend but there is only so much he can contribute to the conversation. Like a square peg in a round hole I tend to feel slightly uncomfortable when mixing with other ladies when it is usually a case of discussing the latest fashion, aimless gossip and in the main things that do not interest me in the slightest. I am very stylish in my own way and don't need to be told how to dress. I find gentlemen's conversation so much more varied especially when it comes to (without wishing to sound too boring) world affairs and politics in general. Hate feminism in all its forms - it is the death knell of society as we know it. . As you may have guessed am not remotely politically correct - oops apologies to the easily offended. Very well educated and well travelled - lived for while in Australia. Hobbies are varied - love the sea and anything to do with the ocean is fine by me. History a great passion of mine

Hoping to meet a retired, professional gentleman. A deep thinking individual who can talk on most subjects and who is blessed with a great sense of humour and is easy company. Someone who is sensitive to other people's feelings but can also be assertive when required. Must stress that not looking for an intense romantic liason. Better at the age we are to form a firm friendship where things, if meant to be, can develop at their own pace. Friendships in the main are far more long standing. Although living on an island I am happy to meet with someone from further afield as living in each pockets is still a bit of a dread for me.
