About him
My friends think I'm good company with a quick if irreverent wit. I like watching thunderstorms, the stars, birds, theatre, movies curled up on the sofa or at the cinema , walking, eating out, playing golf (badly), reading, scrabble, crosswords, Music from Bach to The Who with lots in between, Live concerts, and foreign travel.
My hobbies include Wood work and turning, and nerdily I have an interest in medieval history, I like relaxing with a glass of something alcoholic and watching the world go by from an appropriate vantage point, I watch television but confine myself to drama, documentaries and comedy shows.
I have no interest in politics, despite that I'm fairly optimistic laid back and comfortable with myself. but will assert myself if necessary, I dislike bad manners and political correctness in as much as it damages our freedom of expression, jobsworths and the littering which scars our beautiful countryside. I'm not particularly sporty, don't much like football but will tolerate a good game of rugby or cricket especially live and where there is access to hospitality.
Being on my own isn't my ideal state, it would be much nicer to share the pleasures and trials of life with someone special in a mutually loving relationship.
All of the preceding is true but have not really found truth in most of the women I have spoken with or met. The truthful, it seems, are the exception that proves the rule, I have met with infidelity half truths, rudeness, meanness and downright lies particularly concerning age. The sad thing is that I cannot understand the behavioural motivation of those whom I describe. Whatever happened to “tell the truth and shame the devil”. Dishonesty with others is also dishonesty with oneself.
It would be so nice to meet someone who shares my point of view, surely there is some one out there!

She should be caring even tempered, tactile, with a smile that emanates from her eyes. Generally interested in life but not particularly politics, have her own interests in which I may participate and similarly hers in mine. She should enjoy theatre music opera and travelling maybe to far flung places or domestically, definitely not soccer though.
