About him
First, dear lady, do please forgive that most of the following sentences start with `I am' or `I'm' – I'm sure you will understand. Here goes! -
I'm a 77 year old widower. I lost my darling wife to cancer, after just a couple of months being ill, a little over 8 years ago - don't be concerned, though, I don't live in the past.
I'm bald, which means I have to have a sense of humour, and I don't have dandruff! :-) I'm a caring and loving man, too.
I am, I'm told, quite young at heart and a `dapper dresser'. I do love being `out and about' but not a party type or one who would be happy in a raucous crowd – back in the 60s, maybe!
I love most kinds of music and mostly classical. It's lovely, too, to sit indoors with a special lady and watch a movie on TV or take a trip to the cinema, with dinner before or after.
I do miss being half of a couple; I love walking hand-in-hand, either down a high street or a beach, or a country lane.
Many years ago I worked as a commercial artist and have an interest in fine art.
I'm not rich but I am solvent.
I'm not looking for a 70-odd year old pin up but just a lady who, too, is young-at-heart, dresses well and is well groomed. Oh, and a delight in being romantic with a romantic chap! I'm quite tactile and love cuddles and kisses.
I'm not looking for someone to share a house with but, rather a loving companion to share happy – and sometimes not-so-happy times.
I know that relationships can take time – but, sometimes, they can be sparkling!
