About him
I have lived on my own for some time so I am independent but I do want to share my life with someone. I have been married and have had long term relationships but I am currently unattached. I would like to be part of a couple again.
I'm looking for somebody to share days and nights out. Perhaps leading to something more. I am definitely not into one night stands. I believe its worth taking a little time to get to know someone before taking that extra step into a full relationship.
The woman of my dreams? I'm not really sure who or what she is. I hope she will be someone who lives close to Huddersfield as I don't think long distance relationships work very well.
We don't have to have similar interests. Whoever thinks that is limiting their options and maybe missing out on a wonderful chance. A relationship is about learning new things together and making compromises, and building a strong and healthy bond between two happy people.
I consider myself to be a genuine, open, honest and intelligent person who can easily see the funny side of life. I am a good listener. I am, on the whole, a positive person who always strives to see the good in others.

I watch films and dramas on TV. Dad's Army is still great fun to watch, as are programmes like Foyles War and Poirot etc., but you can watch your soaps if it makes you happy! I'll just have a nap!
The music I like is varied, including Rock'n'Roll, Mo-town, 1940's Big Bands, Ella Fitzgerald, 1970's Glam Rock, 10CC, Elvis, etc. BBC Radio 2 is well worth listening to for the wide variety of music and chat.. I like dancing and would hope my partner would be happy to come dancing with me.
I like walks in the country or on the coast, going for days/weekends away
I enjoy good conversation and have a good sense of humour.
